Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
PinRadar.io ("we", "us", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that provides Pinterest analytics capabilities, along with a web dashboard for account and Licence Key management. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and operating with full transparency.
2. Data We Collect
PinRadar.io operates on a freemium model. The data we collect depends on how you use our service:
2.1 Without an Account (Free Stats Overlay)
If you use PinRadar without signing up, we collect absolutely nothing. The extension operates 100% locally on your device. No personal information, no browsing history, no cookies, no analytics, no tracking.
2.2 With a Licence Key Account
If you choose to sign up for a free Licence Key to unlock all features, we collect the following information through Google OAuth authentication:
- Google Account Name: Your display name from your Google account
- Email Address: Your Google email address
- Profile Picture URL: The URL of your Google profile picture
- Google Account ID: A unique identifier provided by Google
This information is collected solely for the purpose of creating your account and managing your Licence Key. We do not access your Google contacts, Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service.
2.3 Device Information
When you activate your Licence Key in the extension, we store a randomly generated device identifier (PR_DEVICE_ID) and a generic device name (e.g., "Windows — Chrome", "Mac — Chrome") to enforce the device limit per licence. This device ID is transmitted to our servers during licence validation. We do not collect your IP address, browser fingerprint, hardware specifications, or any other identifying device information.
3. How We Use Your Data
The account data we collect is used exclusively for:
- Creating and managing your PinRadar account
- Generating and validating your Licence Key
- Enforcing the 3-device limit per account
- Displaying your account information in your dashboard
We do not use your data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than those listed above.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes. The only third-party interactions are:
- Google OAuth: Used for authentication only, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: Used for payment processing only. We never see your card details. Stripe has its own Privacy Policy.
5. Local Data Storage (Extension)
The PinRadar extension stores the following data exclusively on your local device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API:
- Extension Settings: Your preferences (dark mode, display options, timer settings)
- Saved Pins: Pins you explicitly choose to save locally
- Popup Preferences: Your last-used timer and toggle settings
- Licence Key: Your encrypted Licence Key for feature activation
- Device ID: A randomly generated identifier for device management
This data never leaves your device except for the Licence Key and Device ID, which are sent to our server solely for validation purposes. No Pinterest data (pins, stats, keywords, images) is ever transmitted to our servers.
6. Server-Side Data Storage
Account data is stored on a secure server (our dashboard at dash.pinradar.io) in an encrypted SQLite database. We store:
- Your Google account name, email, and profile picture URL
- Your generated Licence Key
- Your registered device identifiers and generic device names
- Account creation and key generation timestamps
We do not store any Pinterest data, browsing history, pin analytics, or any content from your Pinterest activity.
7. Pinterest API Interactions
PinRadar.io reads data from Pinterest's public API endpoints that your browser already loads during normal Pinterest browsing. These API calls are made directly from your browser using your existing Pinterest session. No proxy servers, no intermediaries, no data interception. PinRadar simply reads the responses that Pinterest sends to your browser and displays them in an enhanced format. None of this data passes through our servers.
8. Permissions Explained
- activeTab: Required to interact with the current Pinterest page you're viewing
- storage: Required to save your settings, saved pins, and Licence Key locally on your device
- unlimitedStorage: Allows storing larger amounts of saved pin data locally
- downloads: Required to download images and videos to your computer
- host_permissions (dash.pinradar.io): Required to validate your Licence Key with our server
9. Third-Party Services
PinRadar.io uses the following third-party services:

- Stripe: For payment processing. We never store payment card data. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
